Our Staff

Of course our staff have all of the qualifications and training you would expect from a care home for the elderly (and which indeed are required by the regulations) including appropriate and sympathetic caring for residents who live with dementia or Alzheimer’s. We believe that Springfield Care Home is a satisfying place to work as turnover is low and many of our carers have been with us for years. So residents get to know our staff well and to ask for them by name. This is important in helping us to make the home feel like a “big happy family” environment.

“I am Manager at Springfield Care Home. I trained as a secretary but felt I wanted to do something completely different. I started at Springfield in 2001 and worked my way up to my present position. I have my BTEC Level 3 in management. I love my job. I feel there is nothing more worthwhile that being able to help someone else. My hobbies are reading, DIY, restoring old furniture and travelling. Italy is my favourite country to visit.”
