Springfield - The care home that is
home from home
Established over 30 years ago (with only two owners over that period), Springfield Care Home is a residential care home for the elderly located in an attractive period house, complemented by a purpose-build modern extension and extensive landscaped gardens – we were highly commended in the Gardens in Bloom Competition. We’re within walking distance of the centre of March, an attractive market town in Cambridgeshire. Our nearest major towns are Wisbech, Peterborough, Huntingdon, Cambridge and Ely.
Our Ethos
We want our residents to feel that they have found a cheerful and loving home, a place where high quality care comes with a smile 😊. We are not a big impersonal institution! Instead, we provide friendly personal service from loyal and long-serving staff, some of whom have been with us for decades, and who get to know our residents and their families very well.
Our Care Services
Springfield Care Home offers personalised care in a welcoming environment, accommodating up to 29 residents in comfortable rooms. We provide permanent and respite stays, daycare services, and a range of treatments. See our About page for more information about our care services.
Permanent Stay
Many residents live permanently at Springfield Care Home, enjoying long-term support and a comfortable environment tailored to their individual needs and preferences.
Respite Stay
We also welcome guests for shorter respite stays, including emergency care, providing support after illness or a break from home. Contact the manager for details.
Daycare
We offer daycare services, enabling people to come to us for the day and join in with meals, socialising and activities.
Treatments & Therapies
A qualified hair stylist comes weekly to Springfield Care Home and we also arrange chiropody and other therapies as requested by our residents.
Visitors are welcome anytime, with three common areas available, including a quiet space for private visits. See our Frequently Asked Questions for more information about visiting.
What the care homes regulator says
We saw kind and caring interaction between staff and the people who used the service. People we spoke with were complimentary about the staff. One person told us, “[Staff] have been very good with me.” Another person said, “I’m grateful for what [staff] do, I’m very happy here.” A third person said, “I had lots of help from the staff to get settled in.”
