More About Us - Springfield Care Home

What our residents' families say

“My mother, now aged 102, has been resident at Springfield for over four years and throughout she has been cared for with thoughtful compassion and dignity. The management and caring staff create a friendly, homely atmosphere and are clearly committed to good standards and practices.”

T.P. (son of resident)

“My brother and I looked at three care homes in March. On visiting Springfield, the one we finally chose, we were impressed with the homely atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and helped my mother settle in with great dedication. My mother is always telling me how good they are to her.”

J.C. (daughter of resident)

What the care homes regulator says

Below is our current regulator rating. The headlines of such reports tend to highlight items for improvement; if you read the report, you will see that there are also many positives. In any case, we are working hard to implement the improvements identified and indeed to enhance our service offering above what the regulator requires. Please contact us for more details.

Our care home accommodates 29 residents in bright, clean and comfortable single or shared rooms, all equipped with a call system, telephone points and washing facilities. We suggest that residents personalise their rooms by bringing suitable items of furniture, photographs and other possessions of sentimental value. See our Frequently Asked Questions for more information about our home and the facilities and support we offer.

Types of stay - permanent or respite

Many of our residents live at Springfield Care Home on a permanent basis but we are also very happy to accept guests who stay with us for shorter respite care, maybe to take a break from their own home or to recuperate following a period of poor health. (We are sometimes asked to take residents for emergency respite care at very short notice and are happy to oblige – please contact the manager Carole Wood on her mobile if necessary, details on the Contact Us page). We understand that coming to a care home is a significant step and we encourage residents to come for a trial period to see how they find us.

We offer daycare services, enabling people to come to us for the day and join in with meals, socialising and activities.

We welcome visitors at any time. The home benefits from five common areas including a quiet area where residents can receive visitors in a private setting, if desired. See our Frequently Asked Questions for more information about visiting.
